Eleanor T. Elliott Innovation Fund
The Foundation lost an extraordinary friend when Eleanor T. Elliott passed away in December of 2006. Elly was a Trustee of the Foundation for almost a quarter-century, and was Chair of the Board for six years. Her record of service to the Foundation is a legacy. The Foundation’s Trustees and staff miss her every day.
Elly also made a generous bequest to the Foundation, from which the Board established the Eleanor T. Elliott Innovation Fund. Innovative approaches to addressing critical educational needs are at the core of what the Woodrow Wilson Foundation stands for and does. Elly Elliott—in her enthusiasm for new ideas and her forward-looking ability to see where change was needed—not only reflected and personified the Foundation’s core, but played a lead role in shaping it. The Eleanor T. Elliott Innovation Fund is a permanent memorial to Elly. It is used to launch new fellowships, programs, partnerships, and ideas that benefit education and the nation.
The Foundation welcomes contributions to the Eleanor T. Elliott Innovation Fund. Gifts made in memory of Elly will be automatically applied to this fund.
