Carl J. Strikwerda CN ’81, President, Elizabethtown College
On August 1, 2011, Carl J. Strikwerda became the fourteenth president of Elizabethtown (PA) College. Formerly dean of the faculty of arts and sciences at the College of William & Mary, Dr. Strikwerda is a professor of history specializing in modern European history and the history of globalization. He the first Newcombe Fellow to become a college president.
