Founded in 1902, the University of Indianapolis is a private institution of nearly 5,400 students, located minutes from the heart of Indiana’s capital city. UIndy is distinguished by respected undergraduate programs in education, business, communication, and the health sciences; nationally ranked graduate programs; and centers focused on education reform and aging studies.

School Leader Preparation at UIndy

UIndy is partnering with the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation on a unique and innovative master’s degree: an MBA in Education Leadership. This interdisciplinary program between the School of Business and the School of Education combines the best practices in business and education leadership within an educational context. Prospective fellows will be nominated by their school districts or charter authorizers to be considered for this highly selective 13-month fellowship. The leadership program is based on a “grow your own” model, in which districts or schools become working partners with the University to address their specific needs. This program will appeal to candidates who strive to become a principal, superintendent, or other central office administrator.

Schools/Districts Working with UIndy

In order to provide real-world, fieldwork experiences, UIndy is partnering with school districts and charter schools throughout Indiana. Fellows will participate in school leadership and business immersion experiences, within and supported by the Fellows’ current district or charter, which provides immediate application of leadership competencies in a practice-based setting. In order to ensure that Fellows are leading districts and schools to world-class status, international assessments will be employed to validate student and graduate achievement.

Tuition and Assistance at UIndy

Fellows will receive a full tuition scholarship, which includes a fully paid international travel experience with a focus on researching global business and educational systems.
