WW + #GivingTuesday: Join the Campaign

gt_2017-tfNovember 29, the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is #GivingTuesday, a special day across the country that encourages a different kind of gift as the holiday season begins. This #GivingTuesday, help share the story of WW Fellows by joining our Thunderclap campaign with your social media account. Each year, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and its donors help shape the stories of 400 new Fellows, adding to the ever-growing network of Fellows like these:

  • 2016 WW HistoryQuest Fellow Shea Richardson, who is bringing game-based learning to her urban New Jersey classroom;
  • 1993 Public Policy Fellow José A. Quiñonez, who is paving a way for low-income and minority families to secure safe credit, opening pathways to participate more fully in the American economy;
  • 1994 Charlotte Newcombe Fellow Alice Dreger, who is leveraging her position between research and activism to move the conversation on the ethics of scientific research and procedure; and
  • 2012 WW Indiana Teaching Fellow Blake Nathan, who is taking his leadership beyond his technology classroom by founding a nonprofit to mentor young African-American men in high school and beyond who want to pursue careers in education and teaching.

The leaders and scholars and teachers who make up the Woodrow Wilson Fellows change lives every day. They do it through the support of programs like the WW MBA Fellowship in Education Leadership, the WW Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies, and the Career Enhancement Fellowship for Junior Faculty.

This year WW needs your help to spread the word about the impact of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellowships. Join us on social media today to show the world on Nov. 29 what WW is all about: Encourage scholars, support teachers, develop leaders, change lives.

If you want to join in changing the lives of our Fellows and the thousands of lives that they, in turn, touch, please give to the Foundation at Woodrow.org/support.
