WW Academy Receives Grant from Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

Educators affect students’ lives in profound ways, supporting their learning and development and often changing their life trajectories. This is why preparing and empowering teachers is central to the work of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and the Woodrow Wilson Academy of Teaching and Learning. We are proud and honored that we have recently received a grant from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to support this work, building a program in partnership with MIT that allows teaching candidates to learn at their own pace.

In order to prepare teachers for the classrooms of today and the schools of tomorrow, we are ensuring that the learning needs of prospective teachers are driving their preparation. With this grant, we are equipping a new generation of classroom teachers to personalize experiences for the learners who will one day lead the world.
